DateTrak is developed and operated by DateTrak LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when using the DateTrak mobile application.
DateTrak is an inventory organization tool designed to help individuals and businesses track product expiration dates, improve organization, and reduce waste. It is intended to assist users in maintaining accurate records while supporting responsible inventory management.
By using DateTrak, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create or use a DateTrak account, the following information may be collected:
- Email address
- Authentication credentials managed through Firebase Authentication
Inventory Information
Information you choose to enter into DateTrak may include:
- Location names
- Product names and descriptions
- Product expiration dates
- Barcode and UPC associations
- Inventory records and related organizational information
- Backup information
Cloud Backup Information
DateTrak may provide optional cloud backup and restore functionality. When enabled or manually used, backup information is stored using Firebase Cloud Firestore and is associated with your DateTrak account.
Camera Access
DateTrak may request access to your device camera. Camera access is used only to scan UPCs and other supported barcodes within the application.
DateTrak does not use camera access to collect, store, or upload personal photos or videos.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
DateTrak does not currently collect the following categories of information:
- GPS or precise location-tracking information
- Marketing or advertising profile data
- Personal contacts or address-book information
- Personal photos, videos, or media-library content
- Payment card information
- Device analytics
- Crash-reporting analytics
DateTrak does not use your information to build advertising profiles and does not display third-party advertisements.
4. How We Use Information
Information collected or stored through DateTrak may be used to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Authenticate account sign-in
- Organize and display inventory information
- Associate products with locations and barcodes
- Perform optional cloud backups and restores
- Respond to customer-support questions
- Maintain and improve application reliability
- Protect the security of DateTrak accounts and services
5. Payments
Purchases and subscription payments for the Android version of DateTrak are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google Play’s applicable payment terms and privacy practices.
DateTrak LLC does not receive or store your full payment-card number, banking information, or other payment credentials.
6. Data Security
DateTrak LLC uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information associated with DateTrak accounts and services.
However, no electronic storage system, internet transmission, or security method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, maintaining the security of their devices, and preventing unauthorized access to their DateTrak accounts.
7. Data Retention
Information associated with your DateTrak account may remain stored while your account is active or until the information is deleted through available application features.
Certain information may also remain until an account-deletion or data-deletion request has been completed.
Limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce applicable agreements.

8. User Responsibilities
DateTrak is designed to assist users with inventory organization and expiration-date tracking. It does not replace physical product inspection, professional judgment, workplace procedures, or compliance requirements.
Users remain responsible for:
- Verifying product names and descriptions
- Verifying expiration dates and other entered information
- Inspecting products before use, sale, transfer, or disposal
- Following employer policies and workplace procedures
- Following applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Making final inventory-management and product-use decisions
9. Children’s Privacy
DateTrak is not directed to children under the age of 13, and DateTrak LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If DateTrak LLC learns that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, reasonable steps will be taken to delete that information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
DateTrak LLC may update this Privacy Policy when the application, services, business practices, or legal requirements change.
When this Privacy Policy is revised, the version number, Effective Date, or Last Updated date shown near the top of this page may also be updated.
Continued use of DateTrak after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy.
